DESOTO ASSOCIATION CONDOMINIUM 

BOARD MEETING MINUTES 
MONDAY, MAY 16, 2016
 

CALL TO ORDER:  The meeting was called to order by Tony Armes at 6:00pm.

VERIFY QUORUM:  President-Tony Armes, Secretary-Toni McCollom, Treasurer-Jill Vogel and Director- Darrell Davis.  Director Josh Aikens was not able to attend.  Kathy Watts represented Dragon Property Management.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:  
Toni McCollom made a motion to accept the minutes from the April 14, 2016 Board Meeting as presented. Jill Vogel seconded the motion and it passed by unanimous voice vote. 

UNFINISHED BUSINESS:

  • Vegetation is still coming over the new west fence.
  • The landscaper will be contacted and a request made to trim the seagrapes along the sidewalk and to trim palms on the property in preparation for hurricane season. He will do whatever is in the contract but there will be a charge for additional work.
NEW BUSINESS:
The state of our financials was discussed. We are in a serious deficit and the Board discussed various ways to rectify our financial situation. One of the options that is seriously being considered is implementing an assessment so we can make some much needed repairs.  These discussions are ongoing and will be readdressed at the next Board Meeting.

PROJECTS:  (in order of importance)
1) North & East pool fence
2) Garage entrance doors
3) Seal asphalt

NEXT MEETING:  The next Board Meeting is scheduled for TBD. 

ADJOURNMENT:  With no further business to discuss, Jill Vogel made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:00pm.  Toni McCollom seconded the motion and it passed by unanimous voice vote.
